University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team in Saline, MI. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities and providing exceptional in-home care to enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to nursing or supervisory staff
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records
  • Follow care plans and company policies strictly

Requirements

  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related healthcare field is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Basic understanding of safety and infection control procedures
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
