Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Boonton, NJ
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join a Day Program supporting adults with developmental disabilities in Boonton, NJ.
This is a daytime position providing hands-on assistance, personal care, and support with daily activities while helping participants remain safe, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day.
No DDD certifications yet? Training and assistance with required certifications will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Assist participants with daily living activities and personal care needs.
- Provide hands-on personal care, which may include diaper changes and assistance with colostomy bag care.
- Support participants during scheduled activities and throughout the Day Program.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Observe participants and communicate any concerns or changes to appropriate staff.
- Follow established care plans, safety procedures, and DDD requirements.
Requirements:
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, direct care worker, group home staff, personal care assistant, CNA, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is a plus.
- Handle With Care training preferred.
- Standard NJ DDD certifications (CDS) preferred.
