Comfort Keepers of Easton is actively hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide in-home care for clients in Chestertown, Rock Hall, Worton, Edesville, and surrounding areas.

We are currently seeking applicants who are available for day shift hours such as 9:00 AM–4:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM to support our growing client needs in the area.

Position Opportunities

Comfort Keepers is currently hiring for multiple in-home care opportunities in the Chestertown area, including standard caregiver/CNA assignments, State Client cases, and Veteran (VA) client assignments.

State Client Assignments

Our State Client cases require an active Maryland CNA certification and pay:

  • $17.50 per hour
  • Day shift opportunities available

Veteran (VA) Client Assignments

Our Veteran client assignments do not require a CNA certification and may be a great fit for experienced caregivers or CNAs looking for day shift hours.

  • Up to $19.00 per hour depending on assignment
  • Day shift opportunities available

Position Summary

As a Caregiver or CNA with Comfort Keepers, you will provide compassionate, non-medical, in-home support to seniors and adults who need assistance with daily living. You’ll help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while becoming an important part of their care team.

Pay

  • $16.00/hour – Caregivers / non-CNAs for standard client assignments
  • $16.50/hour – CNAs for standard client assignments
  • $17.50/hourCNAs working with State Clients
  • Up to $19.00/hour – Caregivers or CNAs working with Veteran (VA) Clients, depending on assignment

Paid bi-weekly

Please note:

  • State Client assignments require an active Maryland CNA certification and pay $17.50/hour.
  • Veteran (VA) client assignments do not require a CNA certification and may pay up to $19.00/hour depending on the case.
  • Base pay for standard assignments starts at $16.00/hour for caregivers and $16.50/hour for CNAs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding support
  • Offer medication reminders
  • Help with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Observe and report any changes in client condition or needs
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment

Qualifications

  • Current Maryland CNA certification required for State Client assignments
  • Caregivers without CNA certification may still qualify for standard and Veteran (VA) client assignments
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Availability for day shift hours, including 9:00 AM–4:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Home care experience preferred, but not required
  • Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude

In-Home Care is located at 30 Western Avenue in East Millinocket. We have been providing home care to family and loved ones for more than 20 years. Since 2006 In-Home Care has operated under the direction of Richard McLaughlin who grew up in Medway and is a life long resident of the tri-town area.  

In-Home Care's service area covers Penobscot, Piscataquis and Aroostook Counties. We have always been committed to bringing the highest quality of care to our clients. We are dedicated to seeing the clients in all of the communities that we serve lead a safe, happy and healthy life in their home. 

A Brief History

At Home Care started in August of 1995 when John Bouchard was caring for his Mother at home. After seeing the significant needs of his mother and others in the community, John decided to start an agency to allowed his Mother and other aging seniors to stay in their homes longer. John changed the name of the business to In-Home Care in 2001. His mother was with the Agency and stayed in her home until December 2003.

In 2006, Richard and Colleen McLaughlin purchased In-Home Care from John.  A year later, Richard also bought Area Home Care in Lincoln. Since 2007, Richard continued to grow the company  which currently serves close to 100 clients and has over 60 employees!

In early 2019, Mathew Shankweiler purchased In-Home Care.  He is sister is mentally challenged and Mathew's deep understanding of clients needs combined with his modern business approach, will bring In-Home Care into an age of growth, increased employee satisfaction and improved efficiencies.  These impacts will have a great effect on our clients care, family communications and our ability to stay competitive for years to come.  It's an exciting time at In-Home Care!
