    Mother's Heart Homecare is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to join our growing team as we begin serving seniors throughout Baltimore County.

    We're building a small team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing exceptional, person-centered care that allows older adults to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the comfort of their own homes.

    Position Summary

    The Caregiver provides compassionate, non-medical in-home support to seniors by assisting with activities of daily living, companionship, and other supportive services that promote safety, comfort, and independence.

    Caregivers must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently while following each client's individualized care plan.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
    • Providing companionship and emotional support
    • Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and mobility
    • Preparing meals and encouraging proper nutrition
    • Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
    • Providing medication reminders
    • Monitoring changes in a client's condition and reporting concerns promptly
    • Completing daily care notes and required documentation accurately
    • Following individualized care plans and agency policies
    • Maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times

    Minimum Qualifications (Required – No Exceptions)

    Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

    • Active Maryland CNA or GNA Certification
    • Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Certification
    • Minimum one (1) year of professional caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or a related healthcare setting
    • Current CPR & First Aid Certification
    • Recent TB Test or Health Screening
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
    • Authorization to work in the United States
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience caring for seniors living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
    • Experience providing person-centered care in a home setting
