Caregiver Responsibilities

As a caregiver at Inspired Assisted Living Walnut Creek, you will play a vital role in supporting a small group of residents in a homelike setting. Your responsibilities include:

Salary Range: $20.00 per hour

Hourly Base Salary Based on Experience

Responsibilities

Resident Care & Daily Living Support

• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene
• Support safe resident transfers, positioning, and use of assistive devices
• Maintain resident dignity and encourage independence whenever possible

Health Monitoring & Reporting

• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition, mood, or behavior to the Administrator
• Assist with medication management per California RCFE regulations (e.g., medication logging, reminders)
• Accurately document all care and services provided in a timely manner

Companionship & Engagement

• Offer companionship and emotional support throughout the day
• Encourage participation in social activities, shared meals, and light physical activity
• Help maintain a calm, therapeutic environment, especially for residents with dementia

Household Support

• Assist with light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, bed changes, and general tidying
• Help with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen clean-up, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Support overall cleanliness and organization of the home

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures
• Respond promptly and respectfully to resident needs
• Participate in fire drills, emergency preparedness, and required training sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience in a residential care or home care setting
• Dementia care training or experience preferred
• Livescan fingerprints / background check
