Job Description
Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Evening Caregivers. In this role, you will provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors and veterans in their homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. This position is ideal for someone looking for rewarding evening hours while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
- Remind clients to take medications as directed.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or grocery shopping when needed.
- Monitor and report changes in a client’s condition to the office.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan while treating every client with dignity and respect.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
- CNA/HHA experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
- Availability to work one weekend a month.
