Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home support for a client in Dyer, IN.
This opportunity may be a great fit for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, Home Care Aides, Personal Care Assistants, Direct Care Workers, and Private Duty Caregivers who are looking for consistent part-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Hoyer lift transfers and mobility needs.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and assistance with eating as needed.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes related to the client’s care.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or needs.
- Use our mobile app to clock in and out and complete required care documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience in home care, private duty care, assisted living, senior care, direct care, or a similar setting.
- 2+ years of caregiving experience preferred.
- Experience as a CNA, HHA, PCA, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar caregiving role is welcome. CNA or HHA certification is not required for this position.
- Hoyer lift experience is strongly preferred. Client-specific training may be provided when appropriate.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to successfully complete a required national background screening.
- Current TB documentation and CPR certification required.
- Dependable, professional, compassionate, and able to follow an individualized care plan.
