    A Day in the Life of a Caregiver

    As a Caregiver with Griswold Home Care for Howard County, you're proud to help older adults live their best lives within the places they love most. Your assistance with daily tasks allows our clients to live as independently as possible, and they appreciate your positive attitude as you competently assess what needs to be done. Whether you're performing light housekeeping duties, preparing meals, or grocery shopping, you approach each job with cheerful efficiency.

    On occasion, you provide caregiving services to clients with cognitive impairments or dementia. Always patient and kind, you assist with non-medical tasks such as feeding and bathing. Your respectful approach allows clients to maintain their dignity as you help them stay comfortable and cared for.

    Attentive to detail, you keep a log of the care you provide during your shift and submit accurate documentation to help ensure consistent care. Reliable and conscientious, you check in with the office often, providing timely updates regarding the needs of your clients. At the end of each day, you feel a real sense of pride knowing you made a difference in someone's life.

    What We're Looking For

    • A caring, dependable, and responsible individual
    • CNA certification is a plus, but not a requirement
    • CPR Certification required
    • TB Clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations
    • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration
    • Willingness to travel within Howard County
    • Must successfully complete a criminal background check

    A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. One or more years of caregiving or home care experience is a plus — and caring for a loved one counts too!We're willing to train the right person. Are you punctual and dependable?     Work Schedule

    This part-time caregiving position has flexible hours built around you. Depending on the needs of our clients, there are opportunities for day or evening shifts.
