Caregiver- PCA/CNA/HHA- URGENT IN FAIRFAX VA

This position is ideal for a caregiver who is experienced with personal care, enjoys building meaningful relationships, and is comfortable working in a home with a friendly dog. The client requires hands-on assistance with daily care needs and benefits from a patient, attentive, and reliable caregiver committed to providing quality support and companionship.


Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
• Assist with repositioning, transfers, and mobility support as needed for a bedbound client
• Monitor client comfort, safety, and overall well-being
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and engagement throughout the shift
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration reminders as needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to the client's care
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition or needs
• Complete required documentation and utilize EVV for visit verification
• Follow the individualized care plan and agency policies

Client Details

• One-on-one care in a private home setting
• Client is bedbound and requires hands-on personal care assistance
• Friendly family dog in the home
• Would need to start immediately 
• Reliable attendance and consistency are essential to maintaining continuity of care

Requirements

• Current PCA Certificate, CNA License, HHA Certificate, or comparable caregiving credentials
• Current CPR certification
• Current TB screening/testing
• Experience caring for bedbound or limited-mobility clients preferred
• Comfortable working in a home with pets
• Ability to pass required background screenings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor
