    We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver / Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for a 12-year-old female client in Bowie, MD.     About the Client
    The client is a 12-year-old female with cerebral palsy and chronic fatigue.

    She requires limited assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). She is able to participate in many daily activities independently but benefits from hands-on assistance, supervision, guidance, and verbal cueing to safely and successfully complete tasks as needed.

    The client uses a walker for everyday mobility and a wheelchair for longer distances.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
    • Provide supervision, guidance, and verbal cueing to promote independence and safety
    • Assist with mobility using a walker and provide wheelchair support for longer distances
    • Support safe transfers and fall prevention
    • Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
    • Provide companionship and encourage age-appropriate activities and engagement
    • Follow the client's care plan and report changes or concerns to the care team

    Qualifications

    • Caregiving or PCA experience preferred but not required – training provided
    • Experience working with children or individuals with physical disabilities is a plus
    • Reliable transportation
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Compassionate, patient, and dependable
