Job Summary


Five Star Companion Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Caregivers to join our growing team. As a caregiver, you will provide quality in-home care that helps seniors and adults with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, and ambulation
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments as needed
• Accurately document services provided during each shift
• Follow each client's individualized care plan
• Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of paid caregiving experience caring for a non-family member is required
• Experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Direct Care Worker preferred
• Must be available to work some weekends
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and safely assist clients
• Ability to pass all required background clearances and TB screening
• Compassionate, dependable, respectful, ethical, and professional
• Ability to follow agency policies and Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations
