QUALIFICATIONS: The ability to read, write and comprehend written and oral instructions; the ability to complete appropriate documents. Must have reliable transportation including adequate liability insurance; undergo Tuberculin Skin Test annually, pass drug screening before hire. Caregiver must have ability to lift up to 50lbs. on regular basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform client services as given on weekly schedule as defined by Lifeline Homecare.
- Submit accurate and timely time and travel sheets and flow sheet/progress notes
- Reports immediately all emergencies to the supervisor, including workplace related injuries, and any suspected incident of abuse or neglect.
- Complete all orientation and all annual training.
- Treat Clients and family members with the utmost respect at all times
Performs, at a minimum, the following services as needed on per client basis:
A. PERSONAL CARE: Bathing and sanitary upkeep (lifting and transferring client if required and physically possible)
B. HOMEMAKING/HOME MANAGEMENT: General light cleaning, laundry, and sanitization. Meal preparation and planning with shopping assistance.
C. RESPITE: Fulfilling primary needs of client in absence of primary caregiver.
D. ESCORT: Provide accompaniment of eligible clients who require assistance to visit physicians, dentists, or other necessary service.
E. CHORE: Short period of time (spring/fall cleaning dependent upon situation. Lifting if physically possible.)
F. HOME REPAIR: Minor home adaptation when necessary.
G. OTHER SERVICES/DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
