ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate with Crane Global Security to address and resolve security monitoring alerts.
- Identify, assess, and action security and safety events, including but not limited to unauthorized stops, route deviations, extended dwell, loss of signal, and tampering indicators.
- Perform immediate validation by contacting carriers or drivers to confirm shipment status and security conditions.
- Follow HVHR escalation protocols, including notifying Security and leadership promptly when thresholds are met.
- Document all actions, validations, and communications accurately in the system of record for audit readiness.
- Provide shift handoffs and summaries to ensure continuity across 24/7 coverage.
- Adhere to customer‑specific security SOPs, visibility requirements, and escalation matrices.
- Support continuous improvement through trend identification and reporting on recurring security events and risks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job requires the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
- Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong situational awareness and decision‑making under time pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight, weekend, and after‑hours shifts.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking platforms, TMS systems, and security monitoring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to audit-defensible documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 2+ years of domestic (U.S.) transportation or logistics experience required, including over-the-road freight or carrier operations.
- Experience with GPS tracking, TMS platforms, and real-time shipment monitoring preferred.
- Exposure to security monitoring, HVHR shipments, or control tower operations is a plus.
