Cargo Van & Sprinter Van Owner-Operators

The Driving Desk is seeking independent owner-operators who own a cargo van or Sprinter van and are interested in being considered for freight opportunities with transportation brokers and customers.

This opportunity is designed for owner-operators looking for professional dispatch support to help identify available freight, coordinate shipments, communicate with brokers, and assist with load management.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight as assigned.
• Pick up and deliver shipments on schedule.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding load status.
• Maintain required insurance and vehicle documentation.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Equipment Requirements

• High Roof Sprinter Van
• Ford Transit Cargo Van
• Ram ProMaster
• Similar enclosed cargo van in safe operating condition

Minimum Qualifications

• Own or lease a qualifying cargo van.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current vehicle insurance.
• Smartphone with GPS capability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as an independent contractor.

Qualified owner-operators may receive support with:

• Load searching and booking
• Broker communication
• Route planning
• Rate negotiation
• Shipment tracking
• Administrative paperwork

Compensation

This is an independent contractor opportunity.

Compensation varies based on the freight assignment accepted by the owner-operator. Dispatch service fees, if applicable, will be explained before any working relationship begins.
