Carpenter Location: Cleveland, Ohio Job Title: Carpenter Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials. The ideal candidate has experience in residential, commercial, or industrial carpentry, possesses strong attention to detail, and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials according to project specifications.
Construct and repair walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, cabinets, and other structural components.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction drawings.
Install framing, drywall, trim, molding, and finish carpentry elements.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
Perform demolition and renovation work as required.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and code compliance.
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Follow OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate project progress and identify potential issues to supervisors.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of carpentry experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment.
Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Cleveland area.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred
Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program.
Experience with concrete formwork, framing, finish carpentry, or remodeling.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Valid Ohio driver's license.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
