WHO WE ARE
Task Force Contractors (TFC) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) operating under a long-term SABER contract at Eglin AFB. We do real construction on active federal facilities — interior renovation, exterior work, and everything in between. This is not day labor. We have a steady pipeline of task orders and we need people who want to be part of a crew, not bounce between jobs.
THE WORK
This is a multi-trade role. Your week will vary based on active task orders. You need to be comfortable moving between scopes — that is the job.
Interior work includes:
• Demolition — partitions, ceilings, flooring, fixtures
• Metal stud framing and drywall — hang, tape, finish to paint-ready
• Flooring — VCT, LVP, carpet tile, sheet vinyl
• Suspended ceilings — ACT grid layout and tile install
• Paint — prep, prime, finish coats
• Finish carpentry — doors, frames, trim, hardware, punch list
Exterior work includes:
• Light framing — wood and metal stud
• Siding — HardiePlank, metal panel, trim and seal
• Fencing — chain link and security fence on military property
• Waterproofing — caulk, sealants, membrane systems, flashing
• Concrete — flatwork, pads, footing prep
• Exterior paint and surface prep
Every day:
• On site at 7:00 AM with your tools — ready to work
• Follow direction from your Foreman and execute without hand-holding
• Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized
• Comply with all base access requirements and federal site protocols
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on commercial construction experience
• Working knowledge of at least two trades listed above
• Ability to read basic drawings and work orders
• Reliable transportation to Eglin AFB
• Able to pass a federal background check for base access
• Authorized to work in the US — valid I-9 documents required on day one
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and sustain full days of manual labor

Preferred (we will train the right person):
• Experience on military installations, VA facilities, or government buildings
• OSHA 10 card
• Bilingual English/Spanish

IMPORTANT — BASE ACCESS REQUIREMENT
This job is on a federal military installation. All employees must obtain and maintain a base access credential, which requires a federal background check. If you have a felony conviction, active warrants, or other record issues that would prevent base access, please do not apply — you will not be able to perform this work regardless of your construction skills.
Prior military service or an existing CAC/base access credential is a plus and speeds up the process.
