Carpenter Foreman - Denver, Colorado (Job Number: 179651)Role: Carpenter Foreman in the Denver District.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate Journeyman carpenter skill level.Utilize daily task planning tools.Continuously improve productivity of led crews.Manage labor budgets per cost code or task.Finalize timecards with correct cost codes and hours daily using PCL's Mobile Time Entry (MTE) application.Understand submittals and shop drawings.Understand RFIs and incorporate into plans.Confident in EPR/iPad plan reading and navigation.Work directly with field engineers to incorporate drawings and submittal updates into field construction.Provide expertise in material management, including inventory monitoring, ordering, and placement.Monitor on‑site material inventory status and notify Superintendent of needs in advance to keep crew production uninterrupted.Lead and direct a crew of employees for tasks and duties to be performed.Set clear expectations for safety, quality, and productivity of all tasks.Monitor crew progress toward set expectations.Monitor on‑site equipment inventory monthly or as needed versus project records.Proactively ensure security of all PCL tools and equipment.Implement daily and continuous crew safety planning and documentation.Write and update JHA and PSI documents as necessary.Participate in the Zero Goal jobsite safety culture.Attend and contribute weekly at All Hands Tailgate Meetings.Contribute to PCL Quality Control Program.Assist in managing quality control of both PCL self‑perform work and subcontractor work.Fill out various QC inspection forms as needed to aid project completion.Attend and participate in District Foreman meetings and required training.Qualifications2–5 years of experience at a Journeyman skill level.Demonstrated leadership skills for a crew of at least 3–4 individuals.Confident communicator to groups.Strong writing skills with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.First Aid/CPR, Advanced Stormwater, and OSHA 30‑hour training preferred; safe use of hand and power tools.Highly proficient in blueprint reading.Familiar with submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.Comfortable with EPR/iPad plan reading and navigation.Positive attitude and desire to continually improve skills while teaching others.Familiar with field concepts, practices, and procedures.Able to multi‑task, show initiative, and ask questions.Self‑motivated team player.Follow directions to complete daily tasks.Highly flexible in changing environments.Reliable transportation required.Strong safety and quality orientation.Light equipment operation helpful but not required.Willing to relocate to project locations.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally, from ground to above head.Navigate the worksite daily, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.Work in extreme temperatures, confined spaces, high places, and under pressure.Pass pre‑employment drug screening.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, retirement plan with matching, and career‑development programs.EEO StatementThe PCL Companies celebrate diversity and are proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
