Carpenter – Full-Time Position


Walbridge Construction is seeking experienced, dependable carpenters to join our growing team. We are looking for a responsible, hard-working, honest, and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and has strong knowledge of residential and general carpentry.


This is a full-time position with work performed at various job sites throughout the South Shore and surrounding cities and towns.


Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of carpentry/construction experience
• Strong knowledge of general carpentry and construction practices
• Experience with framing, trim work, doors, windows, decks, siding, and general renovations preferred
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
• Ability to safely and properly operate common hand and power tools
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to different job sites
• Must be dependable and report to work on time
• Must be willing and able to travel between job sites throughout the South Shore and surrounding areas
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction crew
• Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and supervisors
• Must follow job-site safety procedures and company policies
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of construction work, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, bending, standing, and working indoors and outdoors

Responsibilities


The carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of residential construction and remodeling work, which may include:

• Framing walls, floors, roofs, decks, and other structures
• Installing doors, windows, trim, and finish carpentry
• Constructing and repairing decks, stairs, railings, and exterior structures
• Performing demolition and preparation work as needed
• Reading measurements and following plans and project specifications
• Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Working with other carpenters, laborers, subcontractors, and supervisors to complete projects
• Protecting customers' homes and property while work is being performed
• Completing assigned work in a professional and timely manner

Compensation & Benefits


Pay: Competitive and based on years of experience, skill level, and demonstrated carpentry knowledge.

Applicants must be dependable and have reliable transportation. Because our projects are located throughout the South Shore and surrounding cities and towns, the ability and willingness to travel to different job sites is required.
