Position Summary:
Responsible for a wide variety of fixtures and building components. Establishes communication between other trades on job site. Follows instruction of construction documents and immediate supervisor. Keeps supervisor appraised of project status and project needs. Maintains tools and equipment. Performs adjustments to hardware. Ensures a safe, clean, and cost-effective job site.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Wall Framing • Door Installation • Sheet Rock Hanging • Ceiling Framing (Drop Ceilings, Soffits, and Hard Ceilings) • Millwork • VCT Flooring • Carpet and Resilient Flooring Installation and Repair (Carpet and LVP) • Finish Carpentry (Trim Work, Case Work, Miscellaneous Items such as Hanging Pictures, White Boards, Soap Dispensers, Mounting Cabinets and TVs) • Demolition (Block and Brick Removal. Metal Stud and Sheet Rock Removal. Floor and Ceiling Removal) • Masonry Repair • Ceramic Tile Installation and Repair • Able to Read and Interpret Blueprints
Basic Carpenter Tools Required
Position Qualification:
High School Diploma preferred. One year certified from college or technical school.
3-6 months experience. Previous Commercial Framing Experience Strongly Preferred
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid TN Drivers License
