Job Title: Carpenter Painter Location: Jersey City Medical Center Department Name: Plant Operations Req #: 0000236778 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $35.44 - $35.44 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidates educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Job Overview: The Carpenter - Painter performs a variety of duties in and around the Medical Center and its affiliates concerning maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of paint, wallpaper, and minor wall spackling or repairs.

Qualifications: Required:

  • Practical painting, spackling experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver's license

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Days
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3PM

Essential Functions:

  • Paint, stain, match colors, mix paint and stains
  • Assists manager in the estimating of supplies, labor, and costs involved in painting and in-house renovations
  • Consistently preps jobs in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
  • Maintains an appropriate amount of stock materials necessary for continuation of all work repairs
  • Paints, spackles, replace floor tile and base in a professional manner
  • Provides routine repair to environmental rounds and Hazard surveillance
  • Responsible for safety and cleanliness of work area and shops
  • Submits daily records concerning work that has been completed

Ability to work independently and follow repairs through to completion.
