Job Summary
NuFace Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Service Technician to join our growing team in Berlin, CT. This role is responsible for performing high-quality carpentry work, remodeling, and service/repair tasks while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in general construction and home improvement services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and finish work
Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision
Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management
Load/unload tools and materials and maintain company equipment
Qualifications
3+ years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred
Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials
Ability to perform service and repair work independently
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent work ethic and time management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in home improvement or remodeling companies
OSHA certification (a plus)
Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge (a plus)
