Responsibilities
- Complete standard carpentry tasks correctly with limited supervision
- Read measurements, layouts, and basic plans
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with framing, trim, repairs, installs, and finish work as required
- Maintain job quality and production pace
- Help train newer laborers by modeling proper habits and techniques
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred
- Understanding of concepts and measurements
- Ability to read and take action on blueprints
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Strong quality and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently on standard tasks
- Good decision-making in the field
- Understanding of sequencing, production flow, and jobsite efficiency
- Professional communication with team members and supervisors
- Willingness to help develop less experienced employees
