We are currently hiring for a Carpenter for a federal building in the Washington DC area.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair building woodwork and equipment: bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, drywall, patching, painting, ceiling tle replacement, carpentry support, small projects and repairs, job site prep / cleanup, material handling, basic repairs, building protection, framing, and assisting skilled trades.
Plan and Client out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions.
Use a variety of carpentry hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
Make shop computations to determine work dimensions and select necessary materials.
Deliver reliable, high-quality maintenance services that enhance client operations and safety.
What We're Looking For
Experience: At least six years of hands-on commercial carpentry construction and repair.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Attitude: Commitment to safety, service, and teamwork; integrity and a positive outlook.
Problem Solving: Diagnose issues, propose solutions, and execute repairs efficiently.
Communication: Collaborate comfortably with team members, supervisors, and site contacts.
