Carpentry Teacher

South Shore Technical High School seeks a full time Carpentry Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Massachusetts educators holding Chapter 74 licensure in Carpentry or industry professionals who meet the criteria 1 and 2 for licensure (below) are invited to apply. Candidates holding a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor''s License preferred.

Chapter 74 Preliminary Licensure in Carpentry 9-14 criteria:

1. High school diploma or equivalent;
2. Five (5) years of full time employment experience directly related to carpentry;
3. Possession of Massachusetts Construction Supervisor''s License;
4. Passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTEL) or Communication and Literacy Skills Test (MTEL); and
5. Passing score on the Vocational Educator Exam for Carpentry (Written and Performance).
