Logistics Coordinator/Carrier Sales Representative

Pay Rate: Up to $22/hr–$27/hr w/ commission

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Logistics Coordinator/Carrier Sales Representative to join their Jacksonville, FL team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing carriers, booking/negotiating transportation rates and maximizing margins.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a new carrier base through load boards, networking, cold calling, and other business development efforts
• Negotiate contract and spot-market lanes with carriers
• Build and maintain effective, long-term relationships with carriers and internal teammates
• Identify opportunities to grow business within existing carrier relationships
• Communicate/dispatch shipment-specific details directly with carriers and drivers through phone, email, and other communication methods
• Partner closely with the Operations team to ensure customer expectations and delivery requirements are met
• Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities to maximize margins
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer and carrier service

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to multitask effectively between phone calls, computer systems, email, and other responsibilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or logistic coordinator, capacity/carrier sales experience is a plus

Schedule

The typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. After-hours and/or weekend availability may occasionally be required to meet customer and operational needs.
