Carryout

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for carryout customers and potential customers who call the restaurant
• Take orders over phone; monitor online orders, delivery orders; ensuring accuracy
• Input orders into POS system in an efficient manner
• Handle cash and credit transactions; account for all receivables including cash, credit cards, coupons, and gift cards
• Ensure packaged food and beverage orders contain condiments and appropriate items
• Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and help with menu selections
• Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times
• Maintain a clean and orderly carryout area
• Adhere to quality standards and restaurant rules and procedures
• Actively participates in the company's social media program by posting/sharing company fliers to personal social media accounts, if available
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Must be 18 years of age minimum
• Experience in Carryout position or restaurant/customer service environment preferred

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously standing during the entire shift. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; stoop; bend; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
