Title:                    Expeditor
Reports To:          Kitchen Manager
Department:         Food & Beverage

Summary of Position:  Ensure that all food orders are prepared according to Company guidelines to ensure an extraordinary guest experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all food orders to ensure they are prepared in an accurate and timely manner according to Company procedures
  • Possess thorough and accurate knowledge of menu items and specials and orchestrate the efficient delivery of meals to all tables checking for accuracy, presentation and temperature
  • Assist with the final preparation of dishes as required
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
  • Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
  • Inspect premises to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
  • Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested
Position Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Must be able to work a variety shifts, including weekends, and holiday shifts
  • Must be a team player capable of working with others in a positive manner
  • Possess or obtain ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company policy
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and handle tasks involving bending, twisting and squatting
  • Be well organized and have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carrying heavy trays
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
Education and Experience:
Education:                  High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:                Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment
