Pay Range: $55,000-$59,500 Per Year
Description:
• This role involves providing direct counseling services within a behavioral health setting.
• Located in Long Island City, NY, this full-time position requires a dedicated professional to support patients in their recovery journey through individual and group counseling.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs.
Requirements:
• Provide individual counseling and prepare treatment/recovery plans.
• Facilitate daily activities, community meetings, and treatment planning.
• Engage in therapeutic interactions to enhance patients' social, cognitive, and behavioral skills.
• Supervise milieu staff and provide psychosocial interventions.
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
• Plan and facilitate interactions to improve social and emotional functioning.
• Maintain detailed case records.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing.
• LMSW/LMHC preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program.
