    La Cava Jacobson, P.A., an AV Preeminent rated Florida Defense Firm, handles litigation and appeals in all Florida state and federal courts. With over 35 attorneys across 6 offices, we serve clients throughout the State of Florida. 
     
    The Miami office of La Cava Jacobson, P.A. is currently seeking a Full-time Case Assistant with a heavy focus on managing the subpoena and records retrieval process. 
     
    Primary Responsibilities
    • Interface with outside records subpoena vendor to manage process for preparing necessary documents to obtain records from non-parties.
    • Uploading data and relevant case information to outside vendor, which will facilitate preparation and issuance of necessary documents and pleadings.
    • Maintain internal charts/logs of record requests and receipt.
    • Assist paralegals with creation of necessary pleadings to subpoena records.
    • This list of primary responsibilities is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed. The items listed are considered daily functions associated with this position.

    • Professionalism: Approach others in a tactful manner; treat others with respect; react well under pressure.
    • Team Work: Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
    • Technical Skills: Possess basic PC skills; Ability to use phone system, copier, scanner, fax, and printer.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Minimum one year of law firm experience managing subpoenas.
    • Familiarity with Florida Court's E-portal system.
    • Knowledge of subpoena procedures.
