Location: Manhattan (Midtown), NY — On-Site & Field-Based

Client: Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS)

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $44,240.56 – $59,930.96 / year

Position Summary

Randstad is seeking a Case Manager to join CUCS supporting The Times Square site at 255 W. 43rd Street in Midtown Manhattan. Serving 652 low-income and formerly homeless individuals—many living with severe mental illness, HIV/AIDS, or substance use histories—this role delivers person-centered support to a dedicated caseload. Working on-site and in the community, the Case Manager provides direct outreach, crisis intervention, benefit coordination, and skill-building to help clients maintain housing stability and increase self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management & Engagement: Build relationships to develop individualized service plans (ILPs); provide regular outreach, community-based appointment escorts, and medication self-administration support per agency protocols.

  • Benefits & Financial Administration: Assist clients with securing public benefits (SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, SNAP, HASA), managing payee funds, and tracking financial goals.

  • Housing Stability & ADL Support: Guide clients through move-in orientation, annual lease recertifications, inspection prep, landlord relations, and daily living skills (hygiene, cleaning, hoarding mitigation).

  • Crisis Response & Operations: Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, coordinate emergency services, facilitate support groups, and complete timely EHR progress notes to meet contact targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred).

  • Experience: No formal experience required (prior exposure to supportive housing or vulnerable populations preferred).

  • Core Competencies: communication skills, ability to de-escalate crises, commitment to person-centered care, and comfort conducting community/home visits.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis Response & Operations: Deliver trauma-informed de-escalation, coordinate emergency care, run support/recreational groups, and maintain timely EHR progress notes for client contact targets.
