Job Title: Career Planner
Reports to: Lead Career Planner
Classification: Non-exempt
Location: Racine, WI
Pay Range: $20.00–$23.00/hr
Position Objectives:
Provides employment-focused case management for individuals preparing to reenter the community, supporting job readiness, placement, and retention.
Essential Functions:
· Guide clients through job readiness, placement, and retention.
· Develop and lead coaching/workshops to match talent with employer needs.
· Assist customers in finding resources, jobs, or training; connect career seekers to open positions.
· Help clients access labor market information, complete enrollment processes, and conduct eligibility assessments.
· Regularly verify participant and employer placement/retention.
· Stay informed on industry trends; respond rapidly to client needs.
· Maintain customer records per legal and company standards; measure outcomes and suggest improvements.
Other Duties:
May be assigned related tasks as needed; duties and schedules may change based on business requirements.
Physical Demands/Environment:
Lift/carry up to 25 lbs occasionally; require visual, speech, and manual dexterity for office equipment and driving; mainly office-based with some travel.
Competencies:
Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, technical skills, and learning orientation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 2 years equivalent experience required. At least 2 years' customer service and training/public speaking experience. Ability to create/modify training materials preferred. Workforce Service experience or working with justice-involved individuals required. Proficient communication and computer skills necessary.
Skills: Multi-tasking in fast-paced settings, confidentiality, attention to detail, Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and ability to pass a Department of Corrections background check.
