UVA Health Internal Traveler Program

The UVA Health Internal Traveler Program (ITP) offers experienced healthcare professionals the flexibility of 13-week assignments combined with the opportunity to become part of one of the nation''s leading academic health systems. Internal Travelers can explore new clinical environments, expand their skills, and earn competitive compensation and sign-on incentives while working assignments for up to 39 weeks.

Available to both current UVA Health travelers and external candidates.

Varies by assignment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: One year of relevant experience required

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease

The pay rate for this role is $66.00 hourly. This position is compensated at a fixed rate. Compensation is established in accordance with the position''s approved pay structure.
