JOB SUMMARY UNION AFSCME 1276
The Case Worker Mang Unit assists patients Cook County Health (CCH) patient by providing comprehensive interviews and screenings to identify qualified programs to access patient ability to pay for medical services. The Caseworker Mang Unit assists patients with various application and authorization processes through the gathering and analysis of pertinent financial, demographic, and other data to acquire medical assistance under Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, approved payment arrangement, or Financial Assistance.

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
