We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting a variety of cash application and customer service functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and maintains a high level of accuracy.
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
$20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and respond to JPMorgan correspondence in a timely and professional manner
Review and validate system-generated policyholder refunds for accuracy
Post policyholder payments into the policy administration system
Analyze aged accounts receivable balances and recommend write-offs when appropriate
Handle customer service requests, including:
Voiding and reapplying payments
Cash investigations
Expedited refunds
Credit card voids and chargebacks
Voiding and reissuing checks
Address and resolve escalated inquiries from the BPO team
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
12 years of experience in cash applications or a similar accounting/finance role
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and reconciliation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with insurance premium receivables or similar industry knowledge
