The ideal candidate will sustain a culture of continuous improvement deliver effective billing processes and demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.LocationHybrid 3 days in office. 100 in office during transition.What Shared Service DoesA Shared Services Center SSC centralizes critical business processes streamlining operations reducing costs and delivering consistent quality. By consolidating areas such as finance procurement payroll and reporting SSC eliminates duplication frees time for strategic priorities and fosters efficiency. SSCs primary functions includeO2C Order-to-Cash Manages the customer journey from order to payment driving smoother revenue processes.R2R Record-to-Report Enables robust financial reporting and accounting.P2P Procure-to-Pay Ensures timely vendor payments and strong supplier relationships. Manages the Travel and Expense program.Center of Excellence Drives innovation and continuous improvement.Payroll Hire-to-Retire Ensures accurate compliant employee payments.Shared Services enables companies to focus on growth and strategic goals while maintaining operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesFoster a culture of continuous improvement for efficient cash application processes.Execute tasks assigned by the Cash Application Supervisor or AR Processing Manager.Commit to outstanding customer service.Stay updated on best practices and trends in cash application and related technologies.Identify and promote process improvements and automation initiatives.Monitor cash application controls and key operational management controls.Adhere to the Cash Application sub-teams policies procedures and controls.Coordinate with teams at various localized operating companies as needed.Manage and process cash applications including cash receipts and posting to customer accounts.Ensure cash receipts are reconciled with bank statements and resolve discrepancies.Complete cash application reporting with high accuracy and attention to detail.Provide guidance to Cash Application Analysts.Engage with the team and prioritize professional development and innovative thinking.Collaborate within the Cash Application sub-team to improve processes and efficiency.Drive automation over manual work when possible.Ensure the sub-team meets timelines and manages risks.QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent work experience.Prior experience in finance and accounting functions or shared services center preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP in a shared services environment required.Familiarity with designing and standardizing transactional processes.Working knowledge of building productsconstruction industry practices preferred.Proven track record of delivering high levels of customer service.KnowledgeSkill RequirementsExcellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.Understanding of business processes in heavy building material and construction organizations preferred.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills English.Familiarity with point of sales systems POS.Ability to lead by example in work ethic and professional attitude.Ability to navigate competing priorities and maintain a collaborative culture.Strong computer skills.Familiarity with invoices sales orders credit memos and bank deposits.Proven skills in process improvement and technology-enabled efficiencies.Ability to prioritize and provide clarity.Physical RequirementsAbility to communicate by telephone and in person.Ability to use a computer for word processing email and document preparation.May require extended periods of sitting.Work EnvironmentNormal office working conditions with a quiet noise level.What CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth development and internal promotion About CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
