This individual is responsible for driving new-to-bank deposit growth with a primary focus on low-cost operating and savings accounts. This role will cultivate new commercial and professional banking relationships with a strong emphasis on non-time deposit balances. Deposit targets will be aligned with overall strategic objectives of the bank. The ideal candidate is an experienced business development professional with a proven track record of generating deposits and building long-term client relationships. Work Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.Primary ResponsibilitiesProactively source, develop, and close new deposit relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and high-value professional clients.Focus business development efforts on low-cost checking, operating, escrow, IOLTA, and savings accounts that contribute to stable, long-term core funding.Build business within targeted industries including legal, medical, and real estate development/management, leveraging industry knowledge and networks.Create and execute a territory-based calling plan, including regular in-person meetings with prospects and centers of influence throughout the market.Collaborate closely with Commercial Lending, Residential Lending, Cash Management/Treasury Services, First County Advisors, and Retail Branch teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.Process the account openings and facilitate communication between new clients and the branch with whom they will be associated.Track and report business development activity, pipeline progress, and deposit acquisition results to Senior Management.Represent the bank at community events, networking opportunities, and industry associations to enhance visibility and referral generation.Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products, competitive offerings, pricing, and market trends.Requirements/QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.3-7+ years of experience in deposit acquisition, retail banking, commercial banking, business banking, or treasury management sales required.Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship building skills required.Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.Documented success acquiring new commercial relationships and generating low-cost deposit balances.Ability to travel locally on a regular basis to meet prospects, referral partners, and clients.Wage Range: Up to $60,000 plus incentivesSalary commensurate with experienceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
