Connect Staffing is hiring a Retail Cashier for a retail showroom in Irwindale, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18/hr on a Monday-Friday schedule with every other Saturday morning. In this role, you will process customer transactions on a POS system, assist shoppers on the floor, andkeep the cashier area stocked and organized. This is a steady, full-time schedule with a clear path to joining the team permanently.
Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm; every other Sat 8am-12pm (early release one day during Saturday weeks); 40 hrs/week

Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the showroom and provide a welcoming experience throughout their visit.
- Check out customers using a POS system - accepting cash, card, and terms account payments.
- Assist customers on the floor with questions and help them locate merchandise.
- Perform end-of-day POS close-out tasks.
- Sweep, dust, and clean counters and the coffee area to maintain store upkeep.
- Answer incoming phone calls directed to the storefront.
Minimum Requirements- 6 months of cashier or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience handling cash and processing card or account transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems (any platform).
- Basic math skills and comfortable using a measuring tape.
- Experience stocking, merchandising, or maintaining a retail floor.
- Prior work in a showroom, home goods, building materials, or specialty retail environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
