Job Description

The C-Store Cashier/Clerk is a key member of the Scott Petroleum convenience store team tasked with handling transactions, navigating the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing excellent service to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Cash Handling:
    • Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register, handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and provide correct change.
  • Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs and requests, and take appropriate steps to assist them. Provide a friendly and positive shopping experience.
  • Dependability:
    • Arrive to work on time and as scheduled, maintaining a consistent attendance record.
  • High-Pressure Handling:
    • Thrive in a busy environment, managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining a high level of efficiency and composure.
  • Take Direction:
    • Follow instructions and guidelines from supervisors, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to the store’s procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Arrive to work as scheduled, with a commitment to being punctual and consistent in attendance.
  • Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Basic computer skills for operating cash registers and recording transactions.
