Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to guests in a high-volume sports and entertainment environment. This role handles transactions, processes orders, and ensures a positive guest experience during games, concerts, and events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting and delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Service

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic guest concerns.
  • Maintain a positive, high-energy attitude during busy events.

POS Operations

  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions.
  • Accept credit and cashless payments accurately.
  • Follow all the companys payment processing procedures.

Order Accuracy & Efficiency

  • Accurately input orders and communicate with the kitchen or service staff.
  • Maintain speed of service during peak periods (halftime, intermissions, etc.).
  • Ensure all items are properly rung up and delivered to guests correctly.

Cleanliness & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Comply with all company policies, including alcohol service regulations if applicable.

Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with cooks, runners, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with restocking and setup/breakdown as needed.
  • Support overall stand operations during high-volume events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred.
  • Experience in sports venues, stadiums, or high-volume hospitality environments is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events.
  • Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
  • Must be available for games, concerts, and large-scale events.
