Cashier

Automotive Parts/Retail Cashier

We are seeking a friendly and hard-working Automotive Parts/Retail Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, and issue receipts. You will provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all transactions run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and must have knowledge of cash register procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Greet each customer with a smile and actively assist while they are checking out
• Accurately record prices and collects payments.
• Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer.
• Follows and implements correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers.
• Accurately collects cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and makes changes when required on cash transactions.
• Verifies identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases.
• Issue receipts and refunds to customers
• Participate in product promotion events and initiatives to drive sales
• Maintain a solid knowledge of product inventory to assist customers with their selections

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills to handle cash transactions
• Previous experience in an automotive parts or retail sales role is required.
• Previous cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Willingness to work well in a team environment
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
