About the Role:
Fatima's Grill in Downey, CA is looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team! Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent front-of-house customer service
• Accurately process cash, card, and digital payments at the point of sale (POS)
• Take and relay customer orders clearly and efficiently
• Handle cash drawer, balance transactions, and process refunds or exchanges
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and front counter area
• Answer customer questions about the menu, ingredients, and halal food offerings
• Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Requirements:

• Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required
• Strong basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Must be available for flexible shifts including weekends and evenings
