Our busy marketplace is looking for a fun, friendly, and customer-focused Cashier to join our front-end team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and love interacting with people, this is a great opportunity to be part of a vibrant retail setting where no two days are the same.
As a Cashier, you’ll be the face of the store—helping customers complete their purchases quickly and accurately while providing a warm and welcoming experience. You’ll handle cash, debit, credit, and check transactions using our point-of-sale system, as well as assist with balancing the register, making change, processing returns, and scanning items.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Calculate totals for products and services
- Accept approved payment methods per company SOP
- Provide correct change when required
- Maintain proper change levels in the cash drawer and request additional funds as needed
- Answer customer questions about products and services
- Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts at the end of shifts
Requirements
- Strong work ethic with a self-motivated attitude toward excellent customer service
- Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented personality
- Ability to speak, read, and communicate in English
- Basic math skills to accurately handle transactions and make change
