We're looking for a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our vibrant team at Spice n Vybe, where bold Afro-Caribbean flavors, warm hospitality, and good vibes come together. You'll be the first smile our guests see — and a key part of creating the warm, culturally-rich experience we're known for.
What You'll Do:
Greet every guest with a smile and make them feel like family from the moment they walk in
Process transactions accurately using our POS system, handling cash, card, and digital payments with precision
Answer menu questions, explain dishes, and suggest pairings..
Package and serve orders with care and attention to presentation
Upsell menu items and share what makes our food special
Participate in product promotions and initiatives to help drive sales
Resolve customer concerns professionally and with grace
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front-of-house area
Track daily transactions and report any discrepancies
Follow all food safety protocols and support the team during high-volume periods
What We're Looking For:
Previous cashier or customer service experience (restaurant experience is a plus!)
Comfortable with POS systems and basic tech
Strong math and money-handling skills
Excellent communication and a genuine love for people
Ability to work efficiently and accurately during busy service periods
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Interest in or appreciation for Caribbean and West African culture and cuisine is a bonus
High school diploma or equivalent required
