Main responsibilities of a cashier:

• Pay rate ranges from $10.00 to $14.00, depending on availability, experience, and location sales volume.
• Managing transactions, ensuring accurate pricing
• Accepting payments and providing receipts
• Bagging purchased goods

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and managing transactions using a cash register
• Balancing the cash register and scanning goods accurately
• Accepting payments in various forms and providing change and receipts
• Resolving customer complaints and processing returns/refunds
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate

Requirements:

• Must have at least a high school degree
• Experience with POS systems and cash registers
• Basic computer knowledge and good math skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve complaints effectively
