Company Overview:

The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with NY Carousel to find qualified candidates for a Cashier position at Staten Island FunPark in Staten Island, New York. Staten Island FunPark is a family-friendly amusement park offering outdoor entertainment such as go-karts, mini golf, and batting cages. The park also features a snack bar and event spaces for birthdays and group activities, providing casual and affordable recreation for families, children, and groups.

Position Overview:

The Cashier provides friendly and professional customer service while assisting customers with purchases and transactions. The role greets customers, processes cash and card payments, answers questions, and provides accurate receipts. The Cashier also helps maintain an organized checkout area, restocks merchandise, and assists with general park duties as needed. Candidates must be willing to be cross-trained to perform other duties within the park.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly customer service.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately.
• Operate the register and provide receipts.
• Answer customer questions and assist with their needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Restock merchandise when needed.
• Assist with general store duties as needed.
• Cross-train to perform other duties within the park.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.50 /Hr.
