Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. Job Summary
This position provides cashiering support for the GHC business office ¿ Student Financial Services.
Responsibilities
Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college¿s mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Receipts all payments to business office
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers as appropriate to others
Processes all bank deposits
Manages petty cash reconciliations
Assists in billing of past due accounts
Maintains daily reports and bank deposit receipts
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a program of study at Georgia Highlands College. A business pathway is preferred.
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, while currently in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Proposed Salary
$12.00 per hour
