Overview:
The Door Greeter is primarily responsible for verifying guest identification to ensure compliance with state gaming regulations and company policies. This role plays a critical part in preventing underage gaming and maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment, while also delivering a welcoming first impression for all guests.
Responsibilities:
- Check and verify valid government-issued identification of guests entering the casino to ensure legal gaming age compliance
- Refuse entry to underage or improperly identified individuals in a professional and respectful manner
- Maintain strict adherence to state regulations and Golden Nugget policies regarding age verification
- Monitor entry points to ensure only eligible guests access the gaming floor
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner while performing ID checks
- Identify fraudulent, expired, or altered identification and notify Security as needed
- Document or report incidents involving denied entry or suspicious activite.
- Provide directions and basic property information when appropriateAssist Security with crowd control and entrance flow during busy periods and events
- Maintain a visible, alert presence at assigned post at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous security, hospitality, or ID-checking experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, especially when verifying identification
- Knowledge of acceptable forms of ID and basic fraud indicators preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to remain firm, professional, and calm when denying entry
Posted Salary Range:
USD $15.50 - USD $15.50 /Hr.
