As a Cast Iron Prep Machine Operator, you'll play a key part in daily production operations by preparing cast iron components, operating tools and machinery, and supporting efficient workflows across the facility. What Youll Do
As a cast iron prep machine operator, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating grinders, sanders, drilling machines, and related production equipment
- Preparing and assembling cast iron components and finished products according to specifications
- Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Performing quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Kitting, crating, and preparing products for shipment
- Supporting production across multiple workstations as needed
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and production efficiency
- Following all company safety procedures and quality standards
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred but not required
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company
- Basic computer skills are a plus, but training will be provided
