Job Title: Cast Iron Prep Machine Operator
Pay: $20/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Looking for a stable, hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join a growing company in Gorham, Maine, where you’ll help produce high-quality cast iron stoves and fireplace inserts while building valuable skills in manufacturing and assembly.

As a Cast Iron Prep Machine Operator, you'll play a key part in daily production operations by preparing cast iron components, operating tools and machinery, and supporting efficient workflows across the facility. What You’ll Do
As a cast iron prep machine operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Setting up and operating grinders, sanders, drilling machines, and related production equipment
  • Preparing and assembling cast iron components and finished products according to specifications
  • Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Performing quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
  • Kitting, crating, and preparing products for shipment
  • Supporting production across multiple workstations as needed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and production efficiency
  • Following all company safety procedures and quality standards


What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company
  • Basic computer skills are a plus, but training will be provided
