About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Cast Remelter workers for a metal manufacturing / die casting company in Watertown, SD. In this role, you’ll support furnace operations and molten metal processing to ensure materials meet quality and production specifications. What You’ll Do as a Cast Remelter:- Operate furnaces and controls to melt, move, and discharge metal
- Draw and analyze molten metal samples to ensure material specifications are met
- Transfer molten metal into molds using ladles, pumps, or hoists
- Monitor temperatures, gauges, and metal flow to maintain proper furnace conditions
- Remove impurities from molten metal and inspect furnaces for defects or wear
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures
What You Need to Bring to the Cast Remelter Role:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, fumes, and moving equipment (PPE required)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions
- Basic machining, math, and measurement skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
