Casting Foundry Operators 1st Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Casting Foundry Operators for a manufacturing facility in Belleville, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various casting and metal fabrication machinery to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure precise execution of casting processes, adherence to safety standards, and optimal machine performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in metal production.

The pay range is $21.42-$21.76 per hour.

Duties:

Operate casting equipment including molding machines, furnaces, and pouring stations to produce metal castings according to specifications.

Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining and assembly of components.

Use measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control and measurement verification.

Perform machine maintenance, tooling setup, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.

Monitor temperature and flow of castings.

Monitor production processes continuously for quality assurance; perform inspections using precision measurement tools.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety standards in all manufacturing activities.

Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure timely completion of production orders.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to work in high temperature and loud environments.

Able to list 50+ pounds, stand of long periods, and perform repetitive tasks

Knowledge of safety standards related to manufacturing environments; ability to follow safety protocols diligently.

Ability to operate hand tools and use tooling efficiently during production processes.

Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail for quality inspection purposes.

Effective communication skills for teamwork and adherence to safety procedures.
